my love life is like "pidgin & english"

Welcome back to NaijaCollegeDork Romance. Last time, we left off with me caught in the emotional whirlwind with Oo. But things took a turn when I met K. It all started with a glance across the room. K"s smile was like sunshine, and I couldn't resist the urge to talk to her. But my approach wasn't smooth; I stumbled over my words and probably came off as more of a flirt than I intended. Despite my initial charm, I struggled to maintain a genuine connection with K. She noticed my inconsistency and lack of depth, calling me out on my behavior. For instance, there was a time when she was going through a tough time with her family, and instead of being there for her, I brushed it off with a joke and changed the subject. Our relationship felt like one of Bnxn"s tunes: upbeat and catchy on the surface, but with deeper layers of emotion and struggle underneath. There were moments of joy and laughter, but also moments of doubt and confusion. Our relationship was a rollercoaste

meeting OO (naijacollegedork romance)

It was through a mutual friend that I met her, a captivating girl named Oo. From the moment we connected, there was an undeniable spark that ignited between us. We laughed together, shared stories, and our conversations flowed effortlessly. Oo had a magnetic personality that drew me in. Her smile could light up a room, and her wit was razor-sharp. I was mesmerized by her charm and found myself falling deeper with each passing day. But as our connection grew, I couldn't help but notice a subtle shift in our dynamic. Oo came from a high-class background, and I began to feel like more of a "gist partner" than a potential partner. She seemed content with our light-hearted banter and casual companionship, while I longed for something more substantial. Caught in the crossroads of emotions, I found myself torn between pursuing a serious relationship with Oo or exploring the talking stage I had put on hold. The uncertainty gnawed at me, leaving me feeling vulnerable and questio

Buildup to my first college election experience.

Welcome to February, known as the month of romance and love 🫢. The most unexpected event occurred at the beginning of this month: elections for student representatives at my university. This is a significant departure from the way the school usually conducts nominations, and it's an attempt to give students a sense of what elections and politics are like at a university. How do I feel about it? I think nominations are far better since they save us the anxiety of the majority picking the wrong choice.  I recognize the value of democracy overall, but there have been instances where it hasn't been fully effective. The contestants were quite interesting and presented a variety of manifestos and ideas. I learned about projects and teamwork, among other things.  Personally, I'm at a loss. Voting is important to me, and I want to be able to select a deserving and debatably qualified candidate for the position.  However, it appears like I will have to experiment and see how it tur

What to wear: dressing guide for a chrislander

Image
Freshers aboard! This post will be succinct (short) and to the point because it discusses the proper attire for Chrisland students. If you haven't already, please read my previous posts as well (if not, what year do you even live in?💀). In Chrisland, your clothing unlocks many doors for you, with the exception of the doors to your toilet and wardrobe because you know it will be strange 😂. However, the way you dress essentially represents who you are and how to be recognized. This article will discuss these and other minor but important rules and regulations. (I love the word "essential," it's so important.🌚)  Chrisland University isn't for you if you are a serious rule-breaker, to start. The dress code and standards are fairly strict at the school. The most basic requirement is that while attending lectures, you must always carry your ID around your neck. Moving on to dressing.                                         GUYS . let somebody shout I love dogs.... [this has nothing to do with normal love for dogs.. 👱] hello everyone, sorry for not coming over to this corner of the world for a while. I have not been busy, or rather I have being busy doing nothing....literally busy being lazy so i apologize immensely for that and I promise to keep up.  Now to the topic at hand, exams!! you"re prepared and not prepared for college examinations to be honest. You go deep thinking the examination questions are going to be vague and like a putin strike... there the questions are, right on the surface. there"s a different kind of feeling for everyone in the examination hall ranging from visible discomfort to excitement to depression. As for me, my examinations were cool if I was seating two seats away from SOMEONE 😇. unfortunately you all are either too young or too old for romance so we will pass. but let me say one thing: an unwise man [me] once said:  INSPIRATION CAN COME IN MANY WAYS,IN THE HAYS OR THE

You know that feeling when you’re in the bowling alley and the bowling ball hits you in the head repeatedly? Of course you don’t. Well I don’t know what I feel right now, I don’t really know how to describe the feeling. Before I go into that, have you guys tried macaroni and sardines with a little bit of soy sauce and fresh salmon? Of course you haven’t, same way I haven’t gotten the hang of college. But you see I can’t stop because I find it a trifle stressful, I mean look at my mates in government universities. They’re schools are as big as local governments, yet they still have joy in education and most of them succeed. They’re my inspiration to be honest, And also to all the federal university undergraduates reading this post I really feel for you guys and I hope  and pray that this strike won’t last long.  I know this topic might be contrasting to my feeling right now but, a man”s gotta do what a man’s gotta do.  I will be going to resume physically in school on Friday, and my exa

First day in school (the dorky way) ( my life vlog 1)

First day in school (college) This topic is supposed to be the first thing you see in your English textbook as an average Nigerian high school student. First day in college, I had read lots of comprehensions on first days at school, work, new countries and a whole other stuff. Never knew the experience was jutting around the corner, after high school it took a year and a half before I gained admission into a university. I never wanted to study outside Lagos, but you see where there is a will at times there is no way. I had to study in a neighboring state in a fully residential university,  Chrisland   university. For those who live in Lagos, the name might be vaguely familiar or even very familiar. Let me break the ice for you, the university  was part of a chain of high end educational institutions in the country, basically it was the university of elites or so I was told their high schools and grade schools were super expensive. I never even dared to daydream about studying at their
